Seedance 2.0 vs Seedance 2.0 Fast
Choose by your delivery resolution and testing budget. Fast offers 480p and 720p; standard Seedance 2.0 adds 1080p and 4K. Both accept multimodal references.

Choose the output you need
Start with the least expensive setup that meets your brief, then judge the actual clip.
Choose Fast for exploration
Use short 480p or 720p clips to compare prompts, framing and motion at a lower credit cost.
Choose standard for higher resolution
Use Seedance 2.0 when your delivery requires 1080p or 4K, or when you want to compare another result from the same inputs.
Keep a result that already works
A usable Fast clip does not need a mandatory standard pass. Switching models generates a new take; it does not upscale the existing clip.
Seedance 2.0 vs Seedance 2.0 Fast comparison
The concrete differences are available output resolutions and credit rates. Judge detail and motion on your own results.
What stays the same and what changes
These are LumiYing generation limits for the two models. Keep references relevant rather than filling every slot.
Credit cost on LumiYing
Per-result costs in LumiYing credits. The examples compare 5 seconds of output without a video reference and 5 seconds of output with a 5-second video reference.
With a video reference, billable time is output duration plus the total input-video duration, rounded to the nearest whole second. Image-only references use the no-video rate. A lower reference-video rate does not necessarily mean a lower total. Multiple outputs multiply the cost; check the Generate button before submitting.
Choose by the task
Use the same prompt and references when comparing models, so changing the inputs does not confuse the comparison.
Prompt or camera experiments
FastStart with a short clip. Change one instruction at a time and keep the takes that match your framing and motion.
1080p or 4K delivery
Seedance 2.0Select the required output resolution. Review the whole clip for character, object and audio continuity before using it.
An acceptable 720p result
Keep the existing takeIf the clip already fits your brief, there is no need to pay for a second model pass.
Test, inspect, then decide
Set a budget for the whole sequence of attempts, not just one generation.
Start with a short test
Choose a model and resolution, add relevant references and check the displayed credit estimate.
Review the actual clip
Check faces, clothing, product details, motion and sound. Refine one instruction if something important changes.
Regenerate only for a reason
Keep a useful take. If you need a higher resolution or another interpretation, reuse the inputs in standard and check the new result again.
A second model pass is optional
Fast is a sensible first option for lower-cost 480p/720p experiments. Standard adds higher-resolution output; it is not a guarantee that every detail will be more accurate.
Choose the clip that satisfies the brief. Switching models can change composition, identity and timing even with the same prompt and references.
Seedance 2.0 vs Seedance 2.0 Fast FAQ
What is Seedance 2.0 Fast?
Fast is the lower-latency variant in the Seedance 2.0 family. On LumiYing it shares the multimodal reference workflow with standard and offers 480p/720p output.
Can Fast generate 1080p or 4K on LumiYing?
No. Choose standard Seedance 2.0 for 1080p or 4K. Switching models creates a new clip rather than enlarging an existing Fast result.
How many references can I upload?
Both support up to 9 images, 3 videos and 3 audio files, with a combined maximum of 12 files. Video references total at most 15 seconds; audio references also total at most 15 seconds.
How is reference-video cost calculated?
The reference-video rate applies to the output duration plus total input-video duration, rounded to the nearest whole second. The cost table shows a 5-second output with a 5-second input. Check the displayed total before generating.
Is standard always better for a final clip?
No. Resolution is only one requirement. Review identity, motion, objects and sound; keep a Fast result if it already meets your needs. A standard generation is another take and can differ.
Does clicking Try Fast or Try Standard spend credits?
The links open the generator with that model selected. Review your inputs and cost, then submit Generate when ready.
